I'm a bit of a wrench head, I know this may be news to some but I really enjoy my mechanical aptitude and skill.
As with all my Motorcycles, I’ve purchased a Service Manual so that I have direct access to the technical specs and procedures needed to maintain and modify my bikes.
I ordered a copy of the Service and Electrical Troubleshooting Manual for the GL1800 and I must say that I’m impressed with the quality and content, not to mention the size of the manual which came with a three ring binder.
This manual is well laid out and produced with step by step guides and procedures that take you through every aspect of maintaining the GL1800 and all of it’s accessories.
In Contrast, the manual I purchased for the BMW K1200LT came in the form of a .pdf file on a cd-rom, and did not include the electrical wiring diagrams, they were another huge up-charge to procure from BMW.
The above GL1800 Manual and it’s completeness are a credit to Honda and their desire to provide excellent documentation for their customers.
