Since my posting last month about “I'm seriously considering buying a GL1800” I have been visiting local Honda Dealerships to see what’s available.
To my dismay, both of the local dealers I visited seem to not be interested at all in selling me a GoldWing!
Both dealerships that I visited completely ignored me the entire time I was inside the dealerships on the showroom floors.
The first was Action Honda of Hudson, FL. While James was here over the Christmas Holidays we stopped in at this dealership to look at the new GL1800’s they had on the showroom floor.

We were in the Dealership for more than 20 minutes, and climbing all over the GoldWings, without ever being approached by their “Sales Staff”. Not a single member of this dealerships staff spoke to us, so we left, with the certainty I would not be returning there ever again.
This past Saturday afternoon I rode over to Eastern Pasco County to the largest Honda Dealer I’ve seen in the area; Performance Honda - Wesley Chapel, FL.
Again I entered the dealership and made my way back to the area where they display GoldWings. I spent 20 minutes crawling all over the 5 they had on the floor. I was the only “Potential Customer” in the dealership where there were five or more sales people on the floor and not a single person approached me the entire time I was in the dealership.
Again, I left this dealership knowing I would not be spending a dime there in the future.
I find it amazing that in this economy a high end luxury item seller like Honda Powersports displays such disregard for “Potential Customers” who actually take the time to visit a dealership, with money in hand, are completely ignored by their “Sales Staff”.
I had already made up my mind that I wanted a New GoldWing and already know the features I want as well. However, if this is the treatment I can expect from Honda Powersports before the sale, I can only imagine how crappy the post sell service will be.

I may visit one more dealership before throwing in the towel, but I’m not inclined to pursue it beyond that.
I can just keep riding my BMW’s.

man, i wish i wasn't on the other side of the country from you. i would be more than happy to help you get the goldwing you have been looking for. i would also like to add that not every dealership is like that and i am sorry you found some that left a bad taste in your mouth.
About the same here in central Alabama. My son wanted to get a bike to help with his gas bills.I went to Pelham Powersports(Honda, and others) to attempt to look at a Honda. They did not even have a Honda in stock.Went back several weeks ago to look or get a GoldWing, same story no bikes.Seems like the salespeople did not care if I was there or not.I'll stay with my RT
