Dave,

Really enjoyed both the photos and the videos...

I would like to know your video / photo setup... how is either mounted as it seems you have some exteded video from above and left of the shield and am betting you are not holding the camera all that time. Also for the NUMEROUS photos, what method were you using to capture all those photos? (hand holding?)

Just curious as I think you are doing a great job and wanting to take some photos myself... (without getting the shiny side down!)

Thanks for sharing the photos / vidieos!

Thanks for the comments!

I have two ways of recording Video during riding: First is a Sony HandyCam which records directly to digital tape.

Second: is a Helmet Cam (lip stick camera) that feeds video images to an AV Juke Box in the tank bag.

With either approach I then take the raw video and manipulate it in Windows using Movie Maker to produce the final video for posting.

Mounting: I have several mounting options at my disposal for the HandyCam or the Helmet-Cam.

I have a shelf above the dash area of the LT where I have a patch of strong Velcro where I can attach the cameras or I can use one of my industrial camera mounts.

I'll do a post on the topic with photos of the mounting hardware.

As far a still shots go I have a few digital cameras that I've tried while riding. The key here is to use a small form factor camera that you can handle and control with one hand.

I have been using a Casio Exilim EX line and it resides in the tank bag while riding.
I remove it from the tank bag, turn it on, point and shoot as many shots as I like, power it off and place it back in the tank bag with my left gloved hand, this took practice and I used a lanyard to attach the camera to the tank bag in case I dropped it.

This is an awesome site. I used to work at a Motorcycle shop. It is crazy to hear all of the stories that people have. Especially, all of the places that people have been.
